Thanks everybody. I don't know what i'll be doing with it...i know barely anything about the b series, but i've been told that this setup MAY break 13s..if thats the case, I'm most likely going to leave it be. At least for now. The reason for the downgrade was i needed cash desperately..and mechanically this car is in much better shape than the rsx was. So it was the responsible decision.

That, and i've always had a thing for this bodystyle civic and I finally had legit reasons to get rid of the dc5 and pick this up.
Only issue is the ghetto shift linkage bracket currently on the car..its some sort of rubber, if you could imagine how terrible that is. Anyone know where i can pick up a legit bracket for this swap?

With this extra money I've got, it IS very tempting to swap it again, boost it, or build the block and swap heads..

Or u could run b20vtec but then again if u don't know much about the b series that's probably not a very good idea. How do u like it compared to the rsx, shouldn't be that much of a downgrade since it was a base model rsx. Oh and get some bay shots up dude.

yeah i had thought about that, building the block and putting on a b16 head. i would most likely have a local shop do the head swap and then have my buddy tune it for me.

i LOVE how the car handles, even without power steering. going from the tank rsx to this is a world of a difference.

this shift linkage bracket issue is killing me though, i haven't REALLY been able to drive the car because i have to worry about engaging the gears properly

Serious question OP, how do you feel this car handles compared to your base?

RSX had cut springs. (previous owner, I always thought they were just no name springs) Going into a car thats what, 5 or 6 hundred pounds lighter with skunk pro s' in it is a world of a difference. Even without power steering, this car would spank my old dc5 without making much of an effort.

And Skunk Pro S isnt the best suspension out there so you got a whole can of worms to open up when you freshen up your suspension! 88-00 Civics have one of the best suspension set ups ever. Keep an eye out for an Ex front sway bar (you need LCA, shock forks, and brackets), CTR/ITR rear sway bar, ASR brace, and do an alignment.

My friend had Type 2's in his RSX-S but I still felt like my car could handle better.
