I think a lot of you guys are missing something... Cops deal with idiots every day. They're not there to put a smile on your face or hold your hand and walk you away from a situation you're not supposed to be in. If you're doing something wrong, you get in trouble.

Now, were the cos out of line? I'll agree with that. The cop who body slammed the one guy could've asked for another officer to come give him a hand and just help place the dudes arms behind his back instead of throwing him to the ground. BUT, he was resisting arrest. He was physically struggling while trying to be arrested/restrained. You could tell the cop was getting pissed because the dude was strong enough to keep his arms in front / above him.

The whole situation is s***ty. I'm not trying to defend either side. But the cops are just doing their jobs.
I completely agree with you, other then Im siding with the officers

Is your middle name.......Ron Jeremy???.
Hahaha that would be so awesome

I understand. But can you tell us what circumstances you encountered these officers in? If they're responding to a large group of teenagers doing burnouts in a parking lot, or a house party that's rocking the entire block, do you really think they're going to show up and treat everyone politely? I've encountered police officers on many occasions, both because I had to call them and because they were called on me....in both instances I treated them with as much respect as possible. They reacted in the same fashion. Treat them as human beings, not low life, piece of dirt, pigs....and they will most likely treat you the same way in return.

Are you trying to say something with that. See red text

Yes, we should treat them like human beings but most(not all) cops are power hungry and do whatever they like to whoever they like.

I agree, they are doing they're jobs, but they're doing it in a way to make them look like f***ing assholes.
How do they look like "f**king assholes" here? There is a law prohibiting dancing. Protestors show up and dance. Cops show up and do their job. They had PLENTY of warnings. How many times did the officer say, "sir this is your last warning" before body slamming the guy?

I used to feel the same way: "cops are f**king pigs". They're not. If they're being power hungry whores, they'll get what they deserve in the end. Cops have been suspended and fired because of crossing the line. But from what I gather from the video, the people got what they deserved (as far as being arrested goes). They were warned before they even started dancing. What more can you possibly want?

There is a law prohibiting dancing.
This is EXACTLY my point!! How can you fault the cops for upholding the laws that they are sworn to protect?? People don't understand that if they don't like the laws they are being arrested for, then they need to contact the POLITICIANS who are making the laws, not bash the cops who enforce them.
ya but I feel that violence is never the answer, no matter how many warnings were given out.
It's not violence. The cop used as much force as was needed to complete the arrest. Although I don't entirely agree with the law, or the choking, everything else they did was pretty much standard. If someone resists arrest, you use more force than they are in order to arrest them. The cop didn't body slam the dude because he was dancing. The cop was arresting him for dancing (breaking the law), and the guy was resisting arrest by not allowing the officer to handcuff him. He used as much force as was necessary to resist the arrest, even though the choke was a little over the top.

Side note. I have to give props to these citizens for what they did. They disagreed with the law, and they stood up to it. They weren't afraid of the consequences. This is how things SHOULD be.

And from a cops perspective, trouble making teens are a hassle and take it too far. It's all from different perspectives. If you guys feel like you were treated unfairly, there are initiatives you can take in order to remedy the situation. You can file a complaint. You can hire a lawyer. If you feel like the laws are BS, there are things you can do as well. You can contact your local politicians to voice your concern. But I assure you, law enforcement itself is not going to change anytime soon. Police officers will always be there. Just like ANY profession, you will always encounter someone who is having a bad day and lets it show through. This doesn't make it okay by any means. However you come across it a lot more with police officers because it ALWAYS makes the news.

damn, i just hate cops, they always take it too far.
Doesn't look like it....

You can have your own opinion, I'm not saying you shouldn't. I just think that an opinion this extreme about someone who UPHOLDS the law, not writes it, should be re-evaluated.
