My 95 civic ex's driver door wont lock all the way with the power door locks. The passenger one locks just fine, and the driver side will lock if the door is closed, and if its open I just pull the door handle when I lock it and it works just fine. Just trying to figure out why this is happening. Not a major problem obviously just a small annoyance.

All advice is much appreciated.

Idk if it the same but on my 92 lx it was becuz the door handle wasn't on correctly. I had taken it off to replace the broken door handle and this same problem kept happening took a little while to figure out but finally figured it was the door handle I needed to slide it all the way over towards the windshield. Idk if this helps but this is what happened to me. ;)

Yeah. Even the manual locks have this feature. I can't lock my driver's side door without pulling the handle when the door is open, but will lock fine when the door is closed.

Would there be any way to bypass this "feature" if I were to install an alarm system with a remote lock?

which would defeat the purpose of the remote lock :/
I think taking the assembly of another model might work, but that's just too much work to be lazy.

Nope, all Honda's have that feature. There is no issue when installing a alarm with keyless entry. The doors are shut when locked/unlocked. I don't see an new foreseeable issue.
