What does the "clear" mean?

I'm talking to this guy on craigslist about some 99-00 si rims and he said everything is in good condition except "the clear is peeling on one rim". Can anyone explain that to me?

Nope. They're how they come from the factory. Thank you though. (:

They come with a clear coat from the factory. after a while they tend to peel off from washing and salt and de-icing compounds and from the winters.

I have another question, I didn't want to start a whole new thread though. So as we all know, the 99-00 Si's rims are 15". I see some peoples cars w/ Si rims having thinner tires than others. Theres tires that are thinner than others? What tires would you guys recommend that are thin for 15" Si rims?

what do you mean thinner, side wall or thread size. those should be 15x6 do 195\50R15 would fit the best gives you plenty of side wall for those bumpy pot infested roads.
