Normally I would recommend giving John at Comic Book Ink on 84th street a call for the comics but he is in a bind financially on account of the economy so I doubt he would be buying old stuff. Might still be worth a shot though?Trying to figure out what the hell to do with all these comic books, cards and hot wheels I collected in my younger years. Tried the eBay thing, but people only wanted certain items and I'm trying to get rid of things in the bulk, not individual comics/cards/ or hot wheels.
Anyone have any ideas? Not too many hobby type stores in my area that I know of and don't trust Craigslist at all.
There is also Comic Evolution in Puyallup. Chuck is hurting because of the economy as well, but freed up some money by moving to a smaller location near Sonic on South Hill. Might be worth a shot to give him a shout as well?
Unfortunately, unless you have rare stuff, you aren't going to get anything for them and they usually have to be in mint condition. The market is pretty low right now for comics and cards are even lower. Hot wheels also have to be fairly rare as well to be worth it.
I have a huge legal 3 drawer file cabinet (the wide ones) full of comics totaling in the hundreds. Tried selling 3/4 of them a couple years ago and no one was buying. Bought the file cabinet to store them in until the market comes back.
