Here I was thinking you were speaking of an actually NICE car...not another Honda.man, iv been let down on every car iv looked at lately.other peoples nice and my nice are 2 totally differnt things . goin tonight to look at a one owner honda.
Damn man sorry to hear that... Tough these days with jobs. At the place I work at, we had a contractor just stop showing up. No call, no nothing. He took 2 days off (no pay since we're all contractors) and he didn't show up afterwards. It's sad to see people like that just give up a job when people are scrambling every day for one.Work got downsized, lost my job, and now eating some lunch and debating on whether or not the money I saved up from this job will get me through to september when I start my Masters internship...
You really think it's getting better? I haven't had a good job since 2009 and have been scrambling/struggling since. I got laid off and took a 40% pay cut. Let me tell you, working 2 jobs doesn't add up to what I made and the stress is driving me insane.although people are still doing layoffs, its really not as bad as it used to be, it just depends on the market now. back in 08-09it seemed like it didn't matter what market you were in.
automotive is not a bad spot to be: most are on the upswing and hiring like crazy. i work for chrysler and they are literally running out of desk space for all the new hires in the past few months
Working 2 jobs SUCKS. I love working 1 regular steady full time job now with regular hours. No more working 8-5 one day and then 4-12 the next for parties, no more plowing snow and hoping it snows a s**t ton to get hours in, etc. Same times every day, if I want overtime, I can work it and get paid time and a half, etc.You really think it's getting better? That's why the company I work for contracts more than half of their employees in my department.Yes people are hiring again, but we aren't making the money we used to make. Companies took a hit so they can't afford to pay what they used to.
I miss that. My brokerage shop closed down and I was making FAT cash. I'm not sure how I got into the salon industry honestly, but I did. Made tremendous money doing that, then the economy hit hard and of course beauty services of any sort were one of the industries to get hit the hardest. I haven't been in an office since 2007 and I miss it like crazy. I want my corporate grind and routine back. 8-5 M-F, same amt every week, time to have a life, etc. I'm getting too old for 2 jobs and s*** pay at that. I made more fresh out of college than I do now.Working 2 jobs SUCKS. I love working 1 regular steady full time job now with regular hours. I know I can work the same amount every week and make an exact amount. I don't have to figure "okay I hope I work these parties" or "I need snow to fall ASAP so I can pay RG&E".

I feel the same about the schooling. Having a degree myself it's hard finding work. My best friend has 2 masters and ended up throwing himself back into school again b/c he's over qualified for everything and can't get a job still. It's true now. You absolutely have to know someone now it feels like. Thanks for the condolences John but either way.
Yeah the job market is s***ty and yeah you definitely don't get payed like you used to. I am on the fence about it getting better because I do not think that one/two jobs per large business warrants that thumb up yet. I also have seen more postings online than in the past too.
Personally, having a degree hasn't helped much (lost that job due to budget cuts) and even though I'm only a few months out from being done with my masters, I live in fear that I may never climb out of the whole school put me in.
The kiddos can't handle it. Make a thread in VIP! lolwhat happened to sexy time discussion?
how about we make our own sexytime and make them all jealous? The kiddos can't handle it. Make a thread in VIP! lol
one/two jobs? my company just hired thousands of new people in the past 6 monthsThanks for the condolences John but either way.

It depends on area / job demand. Just because your company hired thousands doesn't mean every city is hiring thousands.one/two jobs? my company just hired thousands of new people in the past 6 months
