wassup everyone. i recently bought a green automatic 1998 honda civic LX 4 door for $900. its a real project car. started off with replacing the head gasket, water pump, tensioner, timing belt valve cover gasket, intake manifold gasket and fuel filter. interior was a mess so i had to scrub everything. now in the process of having a paint job. gonna paint it stock green. i wanna make this a nice daily driver with the help of this site. . later on hopefully i can sell this car and buy my buddy's eg hatch. but i'll stick with this civic for now. can anyone post links on some clean 98 4 door civics. thanks!

First off, Welcome to CC and enjoy your stay. Secondly, pix would be nice to see and everyone is going to ask anyways. What plans do you have? I know you said it was a DD until that hatch comes to play but everyone does something to their Civic. I'm tuned in for pics and GLWB

i'll take some pics tomorrow. i'll be helping with the body work. mostly sanding the whole body. i didn't take a pic when i first bought it so i won't have a good visual before and after. when i first bought it, just imagine a green 98 4 door civic that looks like a peeling jackson chameleon sitting on 99-00 si rims (i gave the rims to my buddy as a exchange for the engine work). i have stock rims now.

sounds like a good base and $900 is definitely a steal for a good running civic, assuming the body work wasnt completely necessary. Welcome to the site!

to be honest i there was times i regret buying this car. it wasn't running when i first bought it. timing belt was really loose. don't know why, interior was shot and body work is a must on this car. it was a POS, alot of work needs to be done but im almost done.
