Low RPM When AC On

Hi Guys,

In my honda ES08(manual), some times RPM was going down when AC on.
when im trying to change gears(1st 2nd) RPM goes down to lowest level and generates less pulling power.
I have done a Throttle body clean up plus pgm test and also
cleaned the IAC valve but issue is still there.

What would be the reason for this?
U r feed back very much appreciated.

Thnks Prasa....

do you mean it drops while your at idle? this is normal since its another belt that is engaging and bogs the motor down some. my civic and im pretty sure all cars do this

No Mate...
While im driving.. When I'm trying to change gears..
rpm drops to lowest and engine tries to get stalled (dr..dr..dr.. noise)
and in traffic its hard to drive cause some times doesnt pull have to switch off the AC..
Thnks Prasa..

Was your A/C system recently recharged with refrigerant?

Does the condenser fan run?

o2 sensor or power issue somewhere.. when you're turning the ac on it's taking power from somewhere else and it shouldn't be.. my best guess

Ya its cooling..
But I have repaired the compressor some times back...May be thats the case...
Do i need to replace the compressor...
THnks Prasa
I'm just gonna go out on a limb, but you could also have an AC clutch going out. I'm not sure on our cars if you can actually just replace the AC clutch without having to buy a compressor. But it would make sense to just change out the compressor all together. Thats if it's a compressor issue, but if your car is stalling with the AC running then you may have drag on your compressor, and a blown AC clutch can cause that.

Well ac does take away hp. So that could be a resin it does it while your driving. If I have my ac on and I floor my car then turn it off I will eccelarate a bit because it doesn't put as much stress in turning the belt to suck more power out of the engine
