I know. THAT IS WHAT I WAS SAYING. I meant it as we both have cheap cars so an 06 wrx is not something that's reasonable as of now I doubt for either of us. I know not for me at least and I definitly couldn't be choosy about the mileage and I honestly don't think he would've either if he was getting the deal I was. And yes, I can afford the routine maintenance. Although very expensive, I've already spent a grand just on getting the thing in running order.. It's still not even there yet lol.

I'm not bickering. They took my statement the wrong way and I definitely see where they thought I was saying it the way they thought I was saying it. Just misunderstood what I was saying completely. I was just saying choosing that car when we both have two cheap cars there is really no way of saying that when it's unreasonable, might as well say Oh; should've gotten an 11' sti. It's just not feasible is all I was saying.
You bought it almost stock for 8k and it wasn't running? That honestly doesn't sound like a good deal. My buddy has a 03 sub with 90k that he got for 6k in great condition besides it needing new rims and tires.

Okay now that we got that all cleared up.. lol. I traded my cobalt ss for it. The subi ran when I had it but had hidden problems I've had to get taken care of. Your friend got a deal on his wrx and if you look I've gotten good deals on mine as well. This one was just one of those things I guess.
I got a decent deal on my current EM2 as well, then in the first year it needed $3k in repairs. That's unfortunately sh*t you can't avoid sometimes.
I test drove a couple WRX's back when I was shopping for a car. I wasn't too fond of the seats, but I really loved how they ran. I couldn't afford one though, the price on them is so inflated.

That's why you don't get cheap used cars or used cars that are modified and/or beaten the s**t out of. My friend got an 06 WRX with like 40k miles on it and it was mint. He NEVER got anything fixed. He just modified it and got rid of it 50k miles later. He didn't even fix anything after modifying it and driving it hard. He doesn't abuse his cars though. That's one of the things I envy about him... Even though he probably had 250+whp, he drove like a grandma 99% of the time. He rarely got on it and even when he did, it was only for maybe 15 seconds. Even when he would drive when we'd go to hang out, he very rarely got on it. He can just get in a car and drive casually no matter what. I can't.
That's the thing about Honda's. You love to beat on them and nothing EVER breaks and when it does it cost 12 bucks at vato zone to fix. When you get a car that has power and is expensive to fix i guarantee you'll be the same way. I beat the f**k outta my Si and it was still mint when I got rid of it. My gti broke all the time when I drove like an asshat, the srt's were boss as f**k and never broke and I beat on those constantly. When I got to the cobalt it was a different story. It was a new deal EVERY DAY and I just stopped driving hard. Ever since I've had the wrx I've only got on it a handful of times and I'm super smooth on the tranny and everything. Usually drive under the speed limit to conserve gas
