Wow, been a bit since I updated, I got the info turned in for my rim but progressive is now taking their sweet time getting back to me which I figured would happen, they need to get back with me about this so I can order it soon plus they still owe me for my medical claim. They will have messed with the wrong person, I can go higher & get it done faster. I hate waiting for things.

OK, update.

I'm still doing medical claim stuff, next week I will be released so I can get a check from progressive for medical & suffering, I'm hoping they offer me $3000 plus medical bills, I will get all of the bodywork done & paint plus get some coil overs. Yesterday my exhaust started sounding like a lawn mower & it looks to be my cat has a hole plus my muffler is got a few holes in it so it looks like i'll be changing out the whole thing so thats another project in the near future for me. I know I have not been on much but I do lurk around on here, just nothing to report I guess, but I will be back on more as parts start arriving, I call it Christmas in July!

Oh & they never made a claim on the rim but the agent told me he would make sure I got a few hundred extra for a replacement or repair so either way it's getting done.

it's been just fine, welds all look good. Only think I wish I would of done is painted it with VHT flame proof header paint first because I sprayed it with our bad water and the spots stained onto it and made it look like poo, might take it out and do that later anyways. They have like 12 different colors too

I had a scare, I was getting ready to leave friday night & my car wouldn't turn over & also my brake lights were staying on, it was dark so I pulled the positive cable off the battery & didnt try to do anything until the next day so I can work in daylight, read some posts on here that lead me to believe my starter may be bad so I looked at it first, come to find out the wire going to the solenoid had came off, I adjusted the clip so it would stay on & reconnected the battery & voila, it started right up. Now on to the brake lights, the rubber grommet that presses the button for the brakes was broken in to pieces so I put a bolt & nut in its place & now its fixed. We all know things like this happen in threes so when I was coming home friday night i set my iPhone in the cup holder in my wifes CR-V & there was some water from condensation in it & it made my phone act all wanky, I had to let the battery run down on its own because it would not turn off & stay off. I took it apart over night with a fan on it & got it working next day, I really had not planned to do auto & phone repairs this weekend but I was able to fix all three.

UPDATE
My doctor wants me to come back for one last checkup on the 20th then they will sign off on my medical claim & I can get a check from Progressive, we will see what happens.

So I legit just spend 2 hours reading all of this.. Probably the coolest Honda related thing I've seen for a long time! You've had quite the ups and downs during this whole thing. Kinda inspires me to mess around with my '98 Lx.. where to start though? I'm glad you and your son are both alright from the accident, that blows man.. Your appointment go well today?

Thanks man, the appointment went great, yea I have been put through the ringer on it but has been worth it, so the good news is I got $2400 back from Progressive, that's $1000 for my medical & $1400 for pain & suffering, so I'm getting the bodywork & paint for the car done for $700, also to fix the rim the cost would be $150 to get the bend out of it I went ahead & got a new iPhone 4 for $149 because my 3G was kinda still acting funny, the rest will go towards bills. I'm glad it's all over, the doctor still wanted me to come back but he said I was ready to be signed off, I guess he still wanted more money, lol!

UPDATE!

The Civic is going to body & paint in less than 2 weeks, had to get a new muffler, my old one fell off sorta, the flange before the rear wheel broke & the pipe was resting on my rear suspension, I pulled it off so it wouldn't fall off & hurt someone on the road, drove 2 days like this. I got a great deal on clearance at Advance Auto, a DC Sports muffler for $35, then a muffler shop close to me called Sure Stop installed the new muffler & replaced a piece of pipe for $40. So that it $75 total for repair & upgrade.

New Muffler

Here are the pics of my bent rim, also getting fixed soon.

Love the sound of the new muffler, drove around to do some errands this morning with the windows down, sounds good going under an overpass, not too deep & not too high, I don't want people to say I went all Uncle Ben's on my exhaust.

Yea I read some reviews on it first, mostly good, the bad ones were for rust & the weld on the inlet side breaking, it was cheap enough & I needed one put on right away plus I have an awesome place to get the work done on the cheap, I'll get a new one down the road but loving the sound.
