UPDATE BOTTOM OF PAGE 3!!!!!

It's a Cypress Green Pearl 1998 Civic EX

Newest Pic:

In my front yard behind the odyssey

Some Pics at the DIY car wash the day I purchased it

I'm already in love with the car, not only is it my first civic, but its my first manual car, and after a week it's really fun.

I purchased the car for $3200, it has 133,000 miles and various modifications

Modifications:
Stage 1 Exedy Clutch
9.5lb lightened flywheel
Comptech CAI w/ Icebox
KYB adjustable shocks lowered on eibach lowering springs
RSR exhaust
Integra type r sway bars
Front & rear tie bars
DC 4-2-1 Ceramic headers
17" gunmetal rims on daytona tires
2x 6.5inch pioneer in front and 2x 6x9 pioneers in the back on a rockford interior amp
Alpine Head unit

The left headlight looks like it wasn't sealed properly, and there is a bit of moisture in it, I am looking to purchase some black housed headlights, but I've heard that some aftermarket ones fog up even worse. Any suggestions?

Also looking to purchase a Mesh Grille, OEM fog lights (suggestions?) and I have seen some sick engine bays on this website, I want to paint the VC and reorganize everything

Thanks!

Stick with DEPO brand lights if you can. They make OEM style lights as well as black housing.

Clean start :thumbs up.

I used to have an aftermarket headlight. Based on my experience with them, don't get aftermarket ones. The light pattern sucked on mine. My high beam shot up into the sky, it was horrible. Also, mine fogged up and a lot of condensation built up inside. If your headlight is OEM and gets a lot of condensation inside, the best thing to do is to open them up in the oven and then put them back together nice and tight. You can even buy more sealant and apply more if you want.

So I have been browsing around for fog lights, and apparently the style i like:

Is only for 99-00 Civics, Is this true? Or am I not looking hard enough

This style is cool, but I would prefer the ones shown above. If it's not possible these will be fine.

If anyone can confirm/deny my findings it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

The top ones are for 99-00 only. The square ones are for 96-98 only. They did make round ones for 96-98 (obviously the housing is different and still wouldn't work on 99-00) but I think those are really rare.

Ok thanks, I will be purchasing the 96-98 ones soon. I found a pair local on Craigslist for $40 probably going to take that up

UPDATE!!!

Good and bad news...

So about 2 weeks ago I was backed into in a parking lot, not anything major, but enough to bend my radiator support, push my grille in, and crack my right headlight.

I got $1200 from insurance so I'm going to have the work done, radiator support bent back, some new paint, and I got a buddy in auto body so I'll be saving quite a lot of money by buying my own parts.

The accident:

Nice wash few days after the accident:

The good news!

I ordered the black housing headlights, mesh grille (I will have the trim painted), and some nice OEM fog lights
These would already be installed but my car goes to the body shop Sept 19, and they will be installing them.

The even better news:

So I toyed around with the idea of getting a carbon fiber hood instead of a OEM, considering the accident it was almost an excuse to get a new hood, so I looked around and could only find good reputable brands for $600 + shipping, I even made a craigslist wanted ad, and sure enough 3 weeks after the ad was put up I get a call in math class, this guy is really desperate to sell the hood and he wants it sold tonight!

It was a VIS racing 96-98 civic OEM style carbon fiber hood- i got it for $100, pickup

The exterior was a bit rough but almost all the scratches were light, and there was one mabe 6" diameter spider crack in the back right of the hood. For $100 i couldn't pass this up and i went straight to work on it this morning.

Full compounding job + polish then a slick coat of wax and my $100 beater hood wasn't looking bad at all!

My car will be in the shop for 4 days approx so I will get pics up asap. I really fell in love with carbon fiber hood on green after this ek coupe I found on hondatuning, and I really want to style my car after his

Next in line as far as upgrades is
HIDs in headlights & foglights
Mugen front lip
New floor mats & various interior mods
