My car: 95 Ex coupe automatic w/o armrest.

I want to remove my carpet to clean it and the actual flooring as well. I can get the seats out, carpet "up" but unable to remove because the 2 screws that are under a small panel under the e-brake are stripped. I cant get them off. Any advice is welcome.

You can use a grinder wheel and rip the heads off of them. Risky, but will work. I have also used a flathead screwdriver and chewed the plastic area around the screws out, removed the console, and removed the screws with vice grips. Good luck and happy demolition!

screw extractor.

or
dremel a slot on the screw head and use a sloted driver to take them out.

spray a lil'-bit-o Pblaster on them.

OR.

you can grind the head off. Bore out the remaining threaded portion that is in the thread hole. Tap new threads, and use new bolt.

yea, somehwat like what that dude just said up there.

Vega, no grinder wheel and I dont want to dig into the plastic.

Hecz, my friend's got some screw extractors so I'll try that. No dremel or Pblaster.

We tried drilling the head off of one and we almost got it but gave up since it was dark out and couldnt see for s**t.

Thx though guys.
