Virgin Ek Hatch (Soon to be built)

Russ

K-Series Build Incoming
Hey guys,

The names Russ (Obviously) I have been in the Tuner scene for 6 years now, and just recently bought a Honda.

I have been building motors with a good friend of mine for over a year now and he is a very well known local builder. I think I have enough skills in mind now to start my own build so I figured I would start a profile here and make a build thread to share with others.

Car:

- 97' Ek Hatch DX (All original w/ 98k miles)
- D16Y7 (Completely stock)
- Auto Tranny
- A/C
- 00' SI Wheels (Falken 195/55/15's)

You get the picture, only thing it has is an after market head unit.

Build Goals:

- JDM K20A Swap (Possible boost, depending on how funds go.)
- 6 Speed (LSD Tranny)
- 00' SI front end

Basically making an Ek9 minus RHD, unless I get a good deal on a swap.

Any comments and help is always welcome and I am glad to be around some more Honda Guru's!

Agreed. Keep it 96-98 front. Put the CTR lip on and it looks sexier than the 99-00

Thanks man, if for some reason the funds don't come together right I will be boosting an H22a for sure being that I have the long block in my garage.

I may, but I doubt it. Im going to take my time and do this build right, I don't want your average hack job Honda.

Ohh yea and SUPPA CLEAN....... i love it
Thanks man, I will definitely consider keeping the 96-98 front end, its less money I have to spend if I go that route, I have seen alot of clean 96-98 front ends so we will see what happens.

Looks clean man, nice pick up. Yeah stick with the 96-98 I personally think they look wayyy better (slightly biased but oh well lol) and the pic of the hatch that @nicoalex2 put up is sexy as hell

Made the first step a few days ago, picking up a set of 96-98 SiR Front and Rear Bumpers, they are OEM with Honda Print on the inside. Just need to get them finished and prepped for paint.

I also got rid of the Si Wheels and threw on a set of Racing Hart CP-035r's 15x6.5 +40 Offset and they weigh in at 8.6lbs a piece! (Champagne Colored, with red stickers)
