Hey I was wondering if anyone knew of a way to disable the automatic locks when the car is turned on. I recently was a dumbass and went inside a gas station after startinjg the car, and got locked out of the car.
lol. had that happen before. its just a matter of unhooking the "ignition" wire from the security harness. do you have a factory stereo? or aftermarket? are you running factory keyless or aftermrket
alarm systems use a wire hooked up to the ignition to tell when the car is running and when it is turned on. It just sets a delay and locks them after a few seconds when the ignition is turned on. so to disable the auto lock, just remove the wire
1. factory keyless entry: on the back of your stereo, you will find a green connector. this is the security harness. just clip off the ignition wire(leave some wire on the connector in case you want to reconnect it) you could also splice in a switch with the wire, that way you could tun the auto locks on and off, that would be kinda cool. anyways...
2. aftermarket keyless entry: same way as before, but the connector won't be hooked up to the back of the radio, it will be hanging out behind the new radio and such.
im not sure on the wire color. just take the connector out and use a wire tester and see which one gets power when you turn the ignition on.
