I need a how to guide for a dash swap. I owned a 00 si. One night a drunk driver rear ended my si at 60mph. Was a total lose. I did not have enough insurance coverage. I loved this car so much. Anyways I bought a ex to turn into my si. I have every part and every bolt. I have put ever performance part on the ex and now stuck at the dash. I have completely gutted the interior.

I have searched this site and have found no post for this. I did find the same question posted and no help given other then people saying don't do it. So if you are one of those people don't even bother. I didn't put my blood, sweat and money into this for some ass to give a opinion rather then help.

My mods are a B18C re-sleeved and bored to 2.0, Supercharged. Pistons, rods, retainers, springs, valves, LSD, hondata stage 3(needs updating), msd ignition, 13" brakes on front, aem disc on back, struts, 17" oz racing rims.

So please help me pull my dash. Photos with text would be the greatest. I would even consider sending the person that helps cash for there time.

Thanks, Brandon

I cannot give u specifics for it has been ages since I have pulled a honda dash, but I can tell u that there are tons of hidden bolts and clips!

If something won't pull out, stop pulling and look closer. Its really not that hard though! Sounds like u know ur way around a civic, so u should be fine!

Start by pulling the lower knee panels and center console. Pull the passenger air bag(bolts in throught glove box). Up by the windshield there is a plastic cover plate in the center(remove bolt behind it). Pull cluster and A pillar trim. Remove dash end covers. Drop the column onto the front seat or remove it completely. Disconnect the radio antenna cable and all wiring at both ends of the dash and the wiring coming down the center console. Now you should only have two bolts on each end and taking the center on the floor.

Hope this helps

The drunk rear ended, shouldn't his insurance be paying?

Was a hit and run. Put my trunk in the back seat and back seats were up against front seats. Anyways I pulled my si dash out and found the bolts to remove. There is about 10 and very easy to get to. Had already gutted it before hand. I so forgot about Honda-tech.com. Now my baby is back on her way to being born again and pissed off. Rewiring all my gauges and hondata are my only headache I forsee now.
