I pulled my headliner out and covered it today and I can't seem to be able to find out how to pull the sunroof cover off. The square thing with the handle on it.. You know what I'm saying'??? LOL Any help would be very appreciated.. Thanks..
need to remove the entire sunroof assembly. there are 10X 10mm bolts holding it to the roof. 2 electrical connections in the back, and 4 drain tubes. remove these and have a friend help you lower the roof out of the car.
MAKE SURE THE SUNROOF IS CLOSED.
take the sunroof and lay it flat, (glass facing up as it normally would) there are 2 bolts on the back of the sun roof slider tracks that need to be removed. then there is a hinge that the bolts held down that connects to the two stoppers that stop the slider from going to far back. after these are removed just slide the slider back and it should slide out with a little effort. when you go to recover it, make sure not to cover the light grey plastic sides. these are the sliders and if you cover them with fabric or get glue on them they will rub in the tracks and won't close easily or go in at all.
