hey im looking to get a new car to get me through college and I have found a 2001 civic lx with a k20a out of a 03 type-s with bolt ons and such. then I found a gsr swapped integra with a smaller list of add ons. my question is what will be more reliable and cheaper to fix/ add to? No turbo just a mild na build would be good. Also are there any major problems with either one? thanks for the help

For more power go k20a. For price go GSR. Both are Honda so both are reliable. Assuming they're both clean swaps and its not hella expensive I'd go with the k20 though. Of course there are a couple em2 haters on here lol. How much are they asking?

^^what he said. Only if it were me I'd get the integra but only if it was a coupe (I think the 3rd gen integras are sexy as h*ll). as far as reliablity goes MistahJuice is right... They are both honda engines and if properly maintained they should last a loooonng time

I'm not sure about the transmission problems but I think it was the syncros that people were having trouble with (don't quote me lol). At that price for either one of them I guess it just boils down to... how clean does the swap look? which one seems better maintained? And I guess personal preference
