Damn this is gonna be a F$%king sick truck! Some people do extreme modifications to the point where it just looks ridiculous but man yours is gonna be VERY tasteful!! Freaking loving it man!

Welp...finally an update...container came in, and there wasn't anything that you would be interested in...nothing that was in the style we were talking about for the wheels...I did get to raid the RHD Miata clip they had there though and picked up some super rare JDM optional pieces that were inside...

no, it doesnt run yet. thats a project for another day, plus theres still a great deal of money that needs to be spent to get this running ie standalone, intercooler and piping, bov, exhaust, oil coolers, and s hit load of wiring...
no need to search, cuz i didnt tell the color..

i want people to have to look at this truck closely to realize the mods i have done are not from the factory. i think i have done a great job at that besides the caddy tails of course, but i couldnt resist...

ya, the brass knuckle switchbox is made my avs, and i got it when it was in prototype stage. now they are in full production, and everyone and their sister has one... i still dig it though. i got it years ago when i wanted to do a brass knuckle theme, but like i said its played out now... maybe i will change it later, but right now i have other bigger worries...
yes, the laid outness of this truck is insane... not everyday u see a truck that lays the doors on the ground.
been having a lot of trouble with the paint, but as soon as it is finally painted, i will have up pics... ]
*sidenote* the color that the truck is getting painted(hopefully) is not the color i wanted, but when i got home with the paint and popped the lid i noticed they mixed the wrong color. but i cant let that get me down. the color is still badass, and now if we can only get it to lay right, then it will be good.
if we cant get it sprayed again tonight, then i will just use a sealer on it and possibly two tone it since i hae lost three days trying to paint this shitbox...

sorry to disappoint on the pics, but like i said, been having issues with the paint. went to the paint supply store this morning and talked to the pros there about y the paint isnt laying correctly and also talked to gary via text and on the phone and we r gonna try it again this evening and see if we have any luck.
if not, then my buddy has a couple quarts of a really funky mercedes color that we will spray it with. hopefully it doesnt come to that, but right now i just wanna get this thing coated so i can move on.
i still have to build a sheetmetal bed floor and do a couple other things all before sunday night...
its gonna be close..

i was really lookin forward to a new wheel for the show with a quick release, but i guess thats the least of my worries right now.. stay in touch though, cuz imma want one one of these days unless i just break dow and buy that keys racing wheel i have had my eyes on!

Yea, paint is quite possibly the trickiest process of all... just because of how sensitive it can be, and all the factors that affect the outcome. You can spray the same paint through the same gun, in the same booth 10 times and get 10 different colors if you don't know what you're doing. I had kind of the same situation with the paint on my civic(of course I wasn't the one painting it). Paid a lot of money for the color I wanted, and didn't spend enough to get it shot... ended up with a completely different color. But, I'm glad it did now. I love the color it came out, much better than what I intended.

the color is still cool even though its not what i wanted, but i think once its painted and has a few coats on it it will look tits, so ya...
