thats also a problem for me is time and money.. college and part time job.. i wanna buy an eg hatch and build my ek over the winter but i cant decide what i wanna do with it! theres so much i wanna do. now that im single i find myself with alot more money ha go figure so im saving up for new suspension and turbo kit.hope to have it almost done by spring but it is very hard to do anything major with the engine since its my dd. so much fun tho cuz i bought my car stock so theres so so much to do to it!

Did the motor in an hour or so. Suspension takes like 30-45 friggin minutes. Motor was the day I got the car, suspension was 3 days later. Exhaust came I think a month later..so on and so forth.
Modding cars isn't hard at all...esp Hondas. I have the tools, the garage, friends if need be...and 13years experience.
The key is having a CORRECT plan w/ attacking it. If there are issues w/ the car, FIX THEM FIRST!!! I cannot stress that enough. I love who people modify cars but the car itself is a POS. Rims aren't a mod IMO. yay...new wheels on a stock car. I mean, really? Intake but it's leaking or burning oil like a mofo? Sure...makes sense! duurrr
Fix the problems you can, and SAVE SAVE SAVE for bigger and better things.
thats what im doing for now is making sure its runnin good and replacing old rusted s**t. my car was owned by an old person im only the 2nd owner so i know it wasnt beat up plus i have full exhaust with no cats and theres no smoke! haha but i replaced the distributor and some other little things when i bought it just to be safe and i wish i had a garage to work in! especially in pennsylvania when its cold as hell in the winter and it sucks doin s**t in the snow. i would never EVER buy a car that already had mods because ive seen first hand you find out what a real piece of s**t you bought when you start taking things apart. its so much better just to buy a shell or something stock so you can start fresh
LOL yeah it is pretty sad here in good old Washington, ricer trash still runnin around puttin spoilers and fart cans on cavaliers and sh**, but its slowly changin, I see more and more nice clean sports compacts, and if you are truely a car enthusiast the passion never goes away, ya just gotta find your new nitch, me personaly I love them all, musle cars, 4X4s, import tuners, I would kill for a 68 Lincoln continental.Thanks for your nice input!
And out here where I live, it's clad with girls driving their automatics with the authentic O'Reilly's fart can, altezza tails, 4x4 status on 17s. Oh don't forget the SO FAST SO FURIOUS spoilers and body kits that are still primered. They eat that s*** up too.

having grown up in Washington and living in a couple other areas I can tell you guys the ricer F&F thing happens and it is still going on in many other places, you can not escape it.

You guys can do it just pick your days and work your ass off. I have college AND I use my car mon-fri as a delivery vehicle (yeah it sucks but I gets paid lol) I just took a thurs, and fri off work over the summer when I didn't have school and busted my ass with a couple of friends and voila engine swap + auto to manual. (Engine was easy it was the pedals and wiring that killed me lol) As for the cash if you have over a grand just get on craigslist whenever you can and you'll find a good deal! If you really want it you'll get it done haha

gotta do it in steps! pay per session, and chances are you wont sit there and do it in one shot if its that expensive. and it may not be because you cant sit there that long, but they cant do a tattoo for that long in one shot.

Why would you be a teacher? I have my degree in it and have been laid off so many times it's unreal. My heart is in a classroom, but unless you want to be broke, rely on a man w/ that job, and/or in fear that you can lose your job b/c this government/economy is f**ked up, I wouldn't do it.
