What head do you have again? If it's a y8 intake it's on the side with 2 bolts holding it on & you clean all the carbon build up in the 2 holes & replace the gasket, mine was different, it has 4 bolts that hold it on & was not in a good place to remove it from the TB.
y7, so its probably like yours. ill just have to jump into it

Yea your going to have to take off the bracket that holds on the throttle cable for clearance of the wrench, 8mm socket & pull off the bolts carefully not to drop them & clean with carb or throttle cleaner & clean the 2 squared openings really good & let it dry for 10 mins or blow out with a compressor, I should have done a write up with pics.

So in cleaning this, you are pulling the whole throttle body? It shouldn't mess up the throttle cable placement right? I have some issues with boggin but I think it was due to the plugs being blasted. It runs alot better but I'm sure there is more in there. I might have to grab some carb cleaner and go to town. might have to spruce up the engine bay too. I'll try to get pics and start up a thread on mine... My wife will kill me but hey, it's all for making it look and run better =)

This is def. a good place to get info about workin on your car, I found this site when I was having issues with a fluctuating idle, which turned out to be my iacv, since then I've been hooked, alot of nice clean mod ideas on all threads I've read so far, and everyone is willing to help diagnose problems, welcome.

If I put a y8 head on my y7 block I would need the head, intake, TB, vtec solenoid & ecu for an auto, is this list correct? On the ecu, does it need to be vtec & for auto or just a vtec ecu?

So I would need to get a y8 auto ecu, looked online & all the y8's had vtec already just trying to find that rare one with auto, they go for about $120 on eBay, it's that too much?

The wife was diggin a turbo on her little civic.. I can't remember, are you planning on lowering her at all? You should do the DIY black housing headlights next, and get some 50/50 tails... that would set it off. But for real dude, I think a little stance-enhancement is about over due! But you know it's all love, man... just stopping by the build thread.

Nice camera accessory action! You know I inspired you with my tri-pod, don't even lie!

Well I talked to the guy about it at the 9/11 show but yea your tripod made me want this & since I do have a tripod I can use it with it. And yes, getting low is my next project but is far off for now unless I get some insane deal but tax time looks like a good time to do it.
