Hello everyone! I have seen this site a few times, but never really stopped by for a visit. I just recently BOUGHT MY OWN CAR!!!! I'm freaking excited because I have never done anything like this by myself.

Anyways,

I'm 16 years old, and I just bought a 93 Honda Civic Si. It is all stock. I don't quite have pictures just yet but they are coming very soon. I'm not quite sure what to do to it first. I know what i want but I dont know how to go about it first.

1. Obviously speed lol
2.Handling(much better handling)
3.Good looks inside and out

I know this is going to cost big money, I am willing to work at it and make it something amazing. I'm not new to dealing with cars but i'm not that experienced either. I am going to use the car mainly to race on the track and as a daily driver. I would like to keep the same engine(D16z6), F/I, and I am aiming at 200+hp. Do ya think you could help me out?

You're already off to a good start: 1) Because your head is in the right place, since you have no illusions about the financial demands that building a quick, sturdy, nice looking car will present. 2) Your power goal is totally attainable and reasonable with the right build and tune on a turbo with that motor. 3) Again, mostly because you're willing to fork up the cash lol.

Search this site thoroughly and you will find many good people who know what they're talking about and great information that will guide you as you tackle each step and decision in your build. Honda-Tech.com is also a very useful resource. Good luck, and throw some pictures of that stock beauty up!

Well welcome (from another new to the site) and congrats on the new ride. If you have any questions on it holler at me because I also have a 93 but mine is a coupe. I have also been doing alot of research on part combos that may help you if your going in the same direction for the build.

Thanks! I actually have one now. I noticed that the cooling fan attached to the radiator wasn't kicking on.. Is that supposed to stay off until it over heats? Or is it needing replacement?

you can test it by running it directly to the battery but hondas dont get to warm so it wont come on all the time

$3000 and she shifts smooth, purrs like a kitten on steroids, AND... She's missing the glovebox, but I still love it. You wouldn't happen to know where I can get another one would you?

For something like that your best bet is a junkyard, or search for someone parting their '93 out... you're not going to find it easily.

A few came up on eBay, but you'd have to check the fitment. Plus they are kinda high $:

Wooo, Jeebus. That seems like alot. I've seen B-swapped hatches for less on c-list. Still, hatch <3
