I've been playing Dead Island co-op. Honestly the best time I've had playing video games in a while. Co-op makes it. This is the game I've been waiting a long time for.

If you guys aren't playing the Battlefield 3 beta/demo, you're missing out. There are a lot of glitches still, but this game beats the hell out of call of duty.

Yeah, I've been playing it so much in the past 5 days. I clocked almost 11 hours so far.

BF3 Beta was good when it was JUST released, but now it's filled with CoD idiots and spawn campers. Completely ruined the Battlefield series.

On another note, downloaded the Forza 4 demo, f**king awesome. GET IT.

You can't have spawn campers in BF3... With the ability to put down mobile spawn points (effectively creating several spawns) and the ability to spawn on your squadmates... spawn camping really isn't viable...

Mobile spawn points? I guess I haven't unlocked it. You can spawn on squadmates, sure, but once they are all dead, and you spawn at the preset spawn point, you'll have 2-3 guys spawn camping.

Here's the problem with the BF3. The maps aren't big enough. It's small like CoD, and it's attracting the wrong players. I've played the Battlefield series since Battlefield: 1942. Sure, it had spawn campers, but they'd be whipped out pretty quickly. Now, if there's a spawn camper, people just spawn and try to run to cover, until finally 2 guys work together, somewhat, to take him out. Rinse and repeat.

What they should do to keep this from happening, is remove the ability to gain kills and points for killing an enemy in the spawn area.

^^My experience with BF3 is drastically different from your experience.

The map that we get to play is huge and unlike any CoD map I've ever played on. It's also designed in a way that forces team cohesion through player proximity and shared frontlines.

I think.. maybe once, I saw an instance where our whole team died. Other than that, it just hasn't happened in my games. Even in that one instance, everyone got out just fine. It's difficult to get to the enemy's spawn in time, let alone camp it and kill every one of the opposing team before any of them shoot you. The team would have to be pretty terrible to get in that situation to begin with, and then not to be able to get out....

I don't know, I see BF3 as doing an excellent job to prevent spawn camping - the best I've seen in a video game yet, anyway.

The beta leaves some things to be desired, but you have to remember its a beta. I have a feeling the actual game is going to be pretty good.

Its just a beta. Calm down. I hate how everyone is blowing the game up and giving it bad beef because of a beta. Yes, the map they chose isn't quite right, and kinda blows, but the final product will have 8 mmore maps, with 2 or three game modes each. The conquest versions of the mmaps will be huge. Go look at Caspian border game footage. Rush is just a small Mao based game mode from point to point.

^^Speaking of which.. I'm completely psyched up for full on vehicle combat. I can't wait to play the game for many reasons, but the infantry, air, and land vehicles all being mixed together is gonna be awesome.

That's why battlefield 2 is still played today, 6 years later. It also has one of the largest mod communities out there. However, bf3 is close to nay on mod tools.

I'm not sure. I mean, i love battlefield 3 so far, but i still think battlefield 2 has the high replay/fun value.

Yea, I never played BF2, so I can't really compare. The closest things I have to compare with are homefront and call of duty.... and so far, BF3 is blowing those out of the water.

I will never go back to call of duty anymore. Bf3 just takes the cake. And you should play bf2 sometime. It was PC only, and was one of the greatest games i have ever played. The Battlefield series is the best video game series IMO.

Eh, I'll probably never play BF2 if it's PC only. I can't do PC shooters. Mouse and keyboard are too weird for me for an fps setup.

Oh. I started on a PC and am still a PC gamer, but i think ill have to switch my preorder to Xbox because i never get on the computer anymore because my brothers hog it and my dad hasn't gotten the new motherboard + quad core pprocesser.

I never did understand that. Why the consoles couldn't use a mouse and keyboard setup. We went from an extremely precise controller (Mouse) to an unprecise controller (Xbox and Playstation) controller.
