Eh. Felt like throwing this up here after listening to some other people share their music. This song is nearly 5 years old... back when I first started making beats, and still rapped. The first verse is my old friend Bao Pham aka "Classic". He produced records with TI and Jay Z... hes sick and kills it every time. Mine is the second verse. I was never that good, but I always spoke truth, always made real music and never tried to sound like every other ignorant mainstream pop b**** on the radio. Some people could take a lesson.

Here are the lyrics to my verse:
Shut your mouth and listen
This isn't me speaking
This is the sound of the streets
This is power to the people
How'd we get to where we are now?
Sold out and being told how to sound...
It's a freak show
It's big business. The bottom line
Corporations' commercial interests
A lot of time spent changing the image
Making you shine for the big stage
Gimmicks so they can sell another album and get paid
Living a lie, but why?
It's a shame, name your price and I'll buy your time.
Hip Hop! Just try to survive
I still hear you in the quietest times
I'm still here fighting, enlighten your mind
It's Classic, 'aint nothing like it
Decipher the lines and you might catch it
I'm looking back in time and asking:
Will it last?
I also felt like my verse was somewhat fitting with all the occupy wallstreet s*** going on. Enjoy
