Irritating problems

A couple of irritating issues are getting to me.

1) turn signal bulb won't stay seated correctly and vibrates loose causing my front blinker to be out and I get that annoying fast flashing. How ever the park light works 100% of the time.

2) some times I have to double clutch in order to get into reverse. Shifts into all 5 gears no problem. Its just reverse.

3) I'm 6'4" so I'm forced to have my seat all the way back with a gangster lean. I can hardly reach the shifter when its in fifth. Is there a shift rod with a slight bend for my car?

4) I'm tired of spilling my large iced coffees every time I take a turn and forget to put my hand on the coffees. Is there a better cup holder besides getting the media console and the din sized cup holder from a taruas?

But serious man the lean ain't that bad but its enuff to make it just out of reach. Its not look I'm looking out the back windows when driven

I'm the exact Hightower as you and I have a bit of a gangster lean and the 5th gear prob. They do make a bent shifter. Or you can modify one from a teg. To fit pretty easily and it's bent.
I have been trying to find something for my drinks to so I just quit drinking in my car lol. My reverse does the same with a 2000 gsr engine and tranny. so did my d16 so I'd assume it's normal cause all the gears have also worked on both my engines.

Nice to see I'm not the only one. I'll have to keep a look out for that integ shift rod.

I've driven plenty of different manual cars and my civic is the first one to have this reverse issue. I wonder what the actual problem is and if it can be corrected

That's no fun.

Fyi: my 2nd car 04 dodge stratus sedan is bigger and has great cup holders but I'm always hitting my head getting in n out of the car lol

You may need to replace the bulb receptacle. Post pictures.

2) some times I have to double clutch in order to get into reverse. Shifts into all 5 gears no problem. Its just reverse.

Replacing the transmission fluid with fresh Honda MTF may help.
