It's also not showing a cheaper option for me, and I'm online. Might just have to go into the store after work...
yea, my bill is pretty much the same +/- a few cents, but my feature and access discounts are both 20%, so that helps. what the hell is "TEC Asurion Single Tier - Asurion 10/26 - 11/25 $6.99" ??
and what is "Rock Hill Loc BUS Lic Surchg $4.72"?? is that for your work? i don't have either of those and thats $11+ right there.

Coming from someone who works at a telecom company... they never charge you what they say they're going to charge you, or at least not for long.

Working until 5, hockey game 7-8 and going to the gym afterward.

6.99 is the insurance on the phone. people that don't have insurance just baffle me. phones are expensive and a major carrier won't even activate a phone if it's not from them/insured. $7 a month VS. buying new phone at retail b/c if i grab a used one verizon won't take it. hmmmmmmmmmmm, no brainer.

how can they do that if i'm under contract and always have been?

I'm now at home, working. Remote access is sorta fun!

geez you guys pay a lot for service. here is what my wife and i pay monthly on t-mobile:

$49.98 - 1000 Minute Family Plan (2 lines)
$10.00 - Unlimited Messaging for both lines
$20.00 - 2GB HSPA+ data for both lines
======
$79.98 - Subtotal before taxes & surcharges

as for what i did today, took care of some banking and paid rent (1st of the month!). stopped by burger king for a mushroom swiss but they f**ked up and gave me a double cheeseburger instead. fail. i called and they said i could go back but i don't really feel like driving the 10 mins (round trip) for them to fix it.

perhaps in your market. over here i get excellent service, fast speeds, no data overage charges, no surprises on my bill.... plus i've never had signal issues, even when i'm out on road trips. plus i'm getting 2 lines for what you guys are paying for a single line.

Yeah, can't argue about the price, no doubt that. I just hear a lot of people complain about T-Mobile around here. Maybe I'm not hearing enough people... Verizon is the winner where I live.

For almost double the price
Yea but I also have a lot better coverage and my phone works anywhere plus more options. No signal? Cool...then I run off GPS. I'm paying alot but I'm getting alot too, with one of the best phones on the market.

again, this. Tmobile is horrible here, and back home. Verizon is the leading carrier w/ best coverage here, back home, and anywhere I've gone my phone has always worked well. Had zero issues when I was in Maryland a couple of weeks ago, and it even worked on the plane.(i'm not sure how, but i was sending/receiving texts, and no i didn't get the wifi on the plane).

You get what you pay for. Cheap rates=cheap phone, crap(pier) services, crap(pier) customer service, crap coverage, etc.

like i said, i guess it depends on your market. i get great HSPA+ over here, never any signal issues... i have an sgs2, which i wouldn't consider a cheap phone. but yes, their customer service has declined a lot in the past four years. when i first signed up with t-mo, CS was the best around. not so much these days. that said, i'm very satisfied with what i've got (awesome phone, great coverage for my needs, fast speeds, and low rates) and it fits my budget perfectly. you certainly get what you pay for, and, in my market, i'm certainly getting a lot more than i'm paying for.

i will admit some people NEED insurance because they go through phones like crazy. but i've never purchased insurance because ive never needed it. i keep my phones til they die lol.
i had a blackberry for a few months and i was sick of it so my gf gave me her old droid (verizon) and i took that in. they activated it for me no questions asked regarding insurance :what:

I've never had issues with any of my phones until I got the original MotoDroid when it first came out. First Droid offered, and Motorola made it, so I blame shitty brand and 1st gen phone for issues.

I've had a couple of issues w/ my Thunderbolt on the old OS, but the upgrade seems to have fixed it. I still want to root the phone badly, I just don't understand anything I'm finding and don't want to risk wiping it out. I'm ready to pay someone to do it for me LOL.

Maybe they noticed that you don't already have insurance? They also know that phone is problematic and discontinued, so when it crashes, and it will, they know you'll be seeing them for a new phone. <3
