Radio wont turn on

Hey everyone i having a problem with my jensen uv8 flip out, i hardwired it correctly but still wont turn on, i connected constant 12v to blue/white and switched igntion to yellow/red still wont turn on it just lights up but when i try to turn it on it wont turn on. can anyone help me i would greatly appreciate it.

or can i connect the wires to my cigarette lighter

Double check fuses. In car / headunit.
Check grounds.

i did bro im not getting any constant power unless i connect it to the yellow red wire i just wanted to connect it to the cigarette lighter its a yellow wire a red one and another color i forget i wanted to see if anyone knew what the constant power was for the cigarette lighter

This sounds like the perfect situation for a wire tester. Shouldn't be doing electrical work without one to be honest.

A friend of mines had a problem like this a few days good. His radio would just light up. The why i got it to work is that i reset the radio and it came back on. Maybe you just need to reset it

^ what they said have you trsted just hooking up deck straight to battery and checking to make sure it works.
