SRS red light comes on !!!!

The SRS red light on the dashboard comes on recently. Can anyone tell me what is the cause and how to fix it? Thank you all for your feedback.

That's your safety restrainant system. Theres a tutorial on how to reset it using paperclips which I used and it worked fine. But if there is something accually broken then it stays on and youd have to see a mechanic. Ussaully it could turn on when taking out a seat, messing with your stearing wheel or any of your airbags, or sometimes disconnecting the battery. Here's the link to try resetting your srs system.

can the SRS light come on if the middle of the sering wheel is riped?

If your airbag has been deployed before you might have to replace the srs unit and whatever was deployed. Or you could just take the bulb out if you don't care about the srs working. If its coming on for the seatbelt switch or buckle they can replace under warrenty only if there are no other codes caused from a wreck.

Thanks for all these useful tips. As i am not mechanically inclined, it is too much for me!!!!!I I will just leave the red light on. The airbag has never been deployed in my case.
