Hey guys, I was going to hold off on this build till I got further, but whats the fun in that? Well, some of you guys may remember this car from way back when. It's gone through MANY different stages, then converted to a 96-98, then sold. I ended up buying it back, and now attempting to revive it again. There's just something about this car haha.
Background of the car:
2000 Honda Civic HX
D16Y7 swapped (motor from my old hatch)
Converted to a 96-98
After I bought the car back, I started doing a few minor mods. EK4 style headlights, CTR lip, hood bra, 99-00 spoiler, 99-00 taillights, visors, spoon mirrors, and a bike rack. It was my budget build, but then again I REALLY wanted to go back to 99-00. So, this is where the real build begins!
My main goal of this car is to look like a EM1, but silver. I'll add some goodies on there, but that's what I'm aiming for!
The car how it was after my mods:
Then I ended up finding a great deal on a full CTR front clip (not including motor). So with that, I got a CTR hood, fenders, bumper, and radiator support, with all the goodies.
CTR headlights:
Bumper:
Hood, got a sweet dent in the top from transit
Fenders, also a little damaged
Radiator support:
Then, I ended up buying a BNIB hood bra with fender covers to cover up that dent for a while.
OEM clear side markers:
Then finally, I got rid of my steelies with bald tires and integra hub caps for some Si wheels with new tires.
Right before our first snowstorm, I decided to throw on my new front end (kind of a dumb decision, haha)
Also got myself a 99-00 rear bumper with a crappy rear lip that will be taken off as soon as I'm not lazy enough lol.
The next day, hehe
My next mod was one of my favorites from my old EM1, I received my CTR powerfolding mirrors. I also picked up city light sockets and side marker harnesses to make all that light-wiring easy.
Then my latest update is some license plate plugs I found at my warehouse. I bought these about two years ago, never used them. already champ white
So thats it so far! The next mod I'm planning on purchasing are thin side moldings, then get the car ready for paint by mid-January to get the whole car VSM again. Hope you guys all enjoy the build! I'll be updating this often.
