98 lx won't run

Hi
My 98 Lx stalled one day as I was getting gas. I filled the tank and the
It did not start. When I got it home I checked the spark and fuel which seem
fine. I am getting spark and gas smell everywhere. The timing belt seemed
loose and maybe one tooth off. I took off the belt and aligned everything.
The compression is about 80 psi in all cylinders and it will not start.
Any ideas?

Thanks

Yes and I get 50 psi. I also sprayed starting fluid down
the throttle and it still did not start

Then its not fuel related. Get a multi meter and test ur your primary and secondary on ur coil along with getting the icm tested. Double check that ur on tdc on the compression stroke maybe rent a obd2 scanner and see if it pulls up anything

I just replaced the coil and I am getting spark if I pull a plug and ground it
Obdii does not pull up any codes and communicates with ecu. How do I test
The ecu? As far as tdc the cam sprocket is in the up position and the crank
Marks line up exactly. How do I tell if it is compression stroke? See
If the intake valve close. Also the low (75 psi) concerns me

Take out the cylinder one plug turn the crank clockwise. with a screw driver u can feel the piston come all the way up and on compression u can feel the pressure come out the hole. Once u got that check to see how ur cam and crank line up on the marks.

Just a very good hunch, check your main relay under the driver side dash. When you turn the switch to the on position you should here a distinct click. Keep us informed. I'm new to the site not new to the Honda world.

Ok so I tested the main relay but it was on the passenger side.

I am getting fuel and spark, I notice that when i try to start the car, there seem to be a fine mist of gas hanging around the engine but I cant tell exactly where it is coming from. Would a vacuum leak cause this kind of problem? How about the TDC/CKP sensor? I want to rule out everything before I pull the head

Check or replace ignition module sits in your dizzy ( aka- igniter )
Not the coil .

Just thought I'd close this out.
The issue why it wouldn't start had to do with cylinder washdown.
I put quite a bit of oil into the spark plug holes and the compression came back.
It stalls when warm which I think is why the wash down happened in the first place.
