yeah it does, these things are so rare up here in upstate ny. home built d16 for now, a6 block z6 crank, y8 head, z6 ecu, eagle H beams and oe replacement pistons so far

I'd focus on basic maintenance first, making sure it runs like it should and then work on addressing the body issues.

No point in building a motor and dumping it in a rotten car.

the motor's on hold because A i ran out of money and B i want to get this shell pristine before i drop anything in it. unfortunately we jsut got our first snowfall yesterday and that puts bodywork to a screaching halt. on a plus side i got a good winterbeater out of it and i'm putting it on the road today

I hear ya on the snow...

The rot looks pretty extensive, around the rear arches and looks like it's gotten in pretty well to the rockers.
You'll have quite a bit of work ahead of you.

So this is your beater and project car?
