Im new to this so bare with me! I had a B18B1 bottom end with a vtec b16 head in my 99 civic.. I took the b18b1 out and just put in a b18c1 bottom end. what would I have to do to my b16 head to make it work on the new block?

gsr bottom has oil squirters and stronger rods. gsr bottom > ls bottom. this coming from a guy that rocked ls/vtec

were you running vtec on the ls block? if so, only thing to do now is plug up your ls/vtec kit oil line

My ls block locked up so I rebuilt the head and got the better block..
Ok Thanx Billy yeah all I was wondering is if I had to take the reroute kit off..

GSR Bottom End and B16 head = a poor man's type-r if I recall correctly. Pretty decent combo. LSVtec is not nearly as reliable as people think (LS bottom ends are notoriously weak-walled. Need to sleeve them if you want to make high power). I had an Turbo LS Teg, and had to step the boost down from 10psi to 6psi, and the new owner STILL blew it up.

LS bottoms hold up great with boost. How are they weak???

b series sleeves are alot stronger than everyone use to think, its shitty tunes that crack them are cause issues

a gsr bottom end is pretty stout, somes guys are making 500whp on them and they do run longer than just a few pulls on the dyno. The LS isnt too shabby either, its just how well its tuned and what shape its in to begin with
