Just wondering what looks good and different set-ups if anyone does
Choices are limited, so should be easy to find, you best bet...

round ones have always caught my attention what year are they usually for?

Not sure.
Those pics I posted both show 90/91 SiR's with different fog lights.
It may have been an option starting for the '90 model SiR, I have only ever seen them on the 90/91 SiR.

88/89 w/ rectangle ones.

Are those dual rear fogs OEM? I really want to get a rear fog for my 99 coupe but seeing the dual setup there makes me want to do the same. I think it'd look a little ricey though....

I don't believe so, there should be only one in the rear, based on what I've seen, read and a little common sense.

JDM lights/cars do not have fog lights, it's standard euro equipment.
Countries where they require rear fog lights and have RHD vehicles/drive on the left side of the road, the fog light will be on the right side and LHD countries will have the fog light on the left.
Purpose being to help with visibility in inclement/poor conditions to let you know there is a vehicle in front of you, and know their road position.
