I have realy bad camber on my 99 civic
there is no question that i need a front and rear camber kit
I found this guy on craigslist who i have but things for my car like fogs visors and hids
He sells brand new camber kits front and rear Both for 85
There are no name brand and i know it it is better to just buy the best and do it right but
$400 for a camber kit is crazy (Skunk2)
I never like to buy cheap stuff for my car but people just say camber kits pretty much just bolts and nut and the are all the same....is this true? or should i buy some legit camber kits? How would these kits hold?
Thanks

your camber isnt that bad, stop worrying.

bolts and washers will work in the rear. get a quality one up front. ive heard of cheap ones snapping, bushings getting destroyed. not holding their setting. but overall, you dont need it

camber doesnt wear tires faster, toe does.

and that angle is tiny, ive got more and my tire wear is fine and i have very mild stretch and a low offset which makes it even worse. you are fine, just get an alignement

and washer bolt trick is easy. its on here. you just get longer bolts, stick like 3 or 4 washers in. and problem goes away

For how little he needs to correct (judging by his crappy photo) I'd say 2 washers deep should do it.

ok good. because you'd be pissed after getting your camber worked out just to see your tires wear down just as fast.

how is that a crappy photo its perfect
its your crappy computer screen
No, it's a horrible picture. A picture looking straight at the wheel from the back of the car is the best way to look at camber.

Have you ever gone to Google.com or the search feature on here? It seems like you don't search for anything before you make ANY of your threads. All of your threads have been covered in the past.

camber doesnt wear tires as fast as toe does.
fixed.

Camber shifts and shrinks the contact patch to the inside of the tire. The smaller contact patch increases pressure, which increases friction force, which wears the tire faster than with zero camber. The outside edge has almost zero contact with the ground and thus gets no wear.

OP probably just needs an alignment, but doing the washer trick would help extend the life of the tires too

Do the washer trick. Alignment shops wont fix ur rear camber unless u have a camber kit (which for the rear are absolutely useless). I used 2 3/4" galvanized washers on mine, I read online that 2 washers give u 1 degree of positive camber, thus fixing ur current - camber. If u need longer bolts (u dont unless u have ur car SLAMMED), I think they are M10 x 1.25 40mm but I'm not completely sure on that one, try googling: clubcivic.com washer trick

Here's what I found with a simple 2 second search:
http://www.team-integra.net/forum/blogs/exstasy/217-rear-camber-washer-trick.html
http://ww.lmgtfy.com/?q=clubcivic.com+washer+trick

After the washer trick for me, I went back to specs for the camber. It was off in the first place because I backed up into and onto the curb. But now I'm good.

And alignment shops will align your car without a camber kit. My car is tucking tire in the front and no gap in the rear and I have 0 trouble getting several of the local shops aligning my car. I did have to argue with the Goodyear guy and tell him he's an idiot. I've been driving around with 2-4* of camber since I was in high school and never had uneven tire wear.

Just align the damn car. Jesus. That's what I said to the tech who thought I needed a camber kit, and that is what I'm saying to you, OP.
