:welcome:

It's really not worth modifying an autotragic. If you want to be quicker, get a swap. B-Series, H-Series, K-Series, etc. D-Series motors (Civic motors except Si) don't respond to well to bolt-on's and you gain hardly any power from them.

If you want to have more fun, do a 5-speed swap and throw money into good suspension. Civic's are light and are easy to make them handle well.

around how much does a swap cost?
It depends on what you want to swap into what. If you want to swap a k-series into a 1st gen crx, I hope you have deep pockets. If you want to swap a b-series into a 6th gen civic, no problem. It also depends on your location.

Where I am a typical B16 swap (everything included) is right around 1200.

My 2k quote was including labor on a ls with around 40-50k on it, i find that to be a good price. B16 for 1200 sounds WAY too cheap

I've seen ads on my local craigslist that are advertised as complete swaps. They have around 150k miles on it and they definitely don't come with warranty, and that price does not include labor. It's just what you need for the swap (ecu, axles, motor, mounts, etc.)

It's pretty much someone's b16 out of a 6th gen si that's been wrecked.

Also be awake that almost ever bit of money you invest into your car you'll never get back if you decide to sell it one day. Not to mention if you don't know what you're doing u might ruin the car.

I personally like rain deflectors for most cars and maybe a few exterior changes to make it look clean. Fix anything that's broken on the car first. Before you go crazy with spending money on it. Remember that if something does break you'll need some spare money to fix it if this is your only car.

Good luck.
