fixed :thumbs up

u know, i hated the verts for the longest time, but they look so damn good with the top down and a roll bar imo..

plus the deal i got on this damn thing, i couldnt pass it up...
Haha I thought it was FC, but second guessed myself and put FD. That is a good point though and if you plan on going drifting, it'll definitely be lighter with no top.

If only someone would update the first post and sort of organize this thread. It's a mess. Include some links to certain posts with updates or something. I certainly am not going to scroll through 28 pages of this to figure out what's going on with the build.

Also I don't care about your mini truck ;)

i have 5 vehicles all together. no plans to really modify this at all until the truck is completely done!

well, maybe lowered, wheels and tires, and a lip or something, but that wont be for awhile...

plus i will start a build thread for the FC if i ever modify it!

Its not a trim package.

Its a difference in years between fcs. The s4 or series 4 rx7 is from 86-88 and the s5 is the much better looking 89-91 rx7s.

Mine unfortunately is an 88.

Tell him to stop being a vagein and learn, sticks are a blast, plus then you never have to miss out on a sweet ride cause you can't drive it.

i would love to have an fd, but this thing pretty much jumped into my hands...

like i said, the verts didnt used to appeal to me at all, but i have seen a bunch of super clean/simple ones and i really dig em! so thats the plan with this--a super clean daily driver. and there are absolutely no other rotary engine vehicles in town besides the two that i have lol. so itll be nice to get some looks from people especially with the top down...

now i just need my BARBIE plates haha!

so, this is enough on the rx7. its not even in my possession yet, and this is a build thread--

that being said, i have some updates...

so as i was saying before, i have an idea for a bumper...

so i had a few people looking for one, and even shields on here was trying to find me one, but i found a killer deal on ebay for the bumper i want! now i just need the lower valance and then to do some custom junk to it since everyone knows i cant leave stock parts well enough alone...

anywho, the shipping time was ridiculously fast, and i recieved it this morning...

u shoulda seen the look on the wifes face when i pulled this sucker in from outside and told the ups guy thank u! she says, a bumper? really? (she didnt even know i had ordered one lol)

this thing was packaged well!

so now everyone with a mazda can go out and steal my idea lol... its a 1999 ford ranger splash front bumper. i think it will allow me to run my front mount in the bumper opening and still give my radiator plenty of air!

crudely mocked up! i think its gonna look beast after a few modifications...

i also installed my new shifter boot. not much of an update, but it looks 100 times better than the old worn out oem one

i think i have the wifey talked into buying me the lower valance for my birthday, which is coming up in a week or so. other than that, im just waiting for the guy to show up to take that other truck off of my hands so i can get the bed and cab off and do final welding and start spreading seam sealer and filler and also order my aem ems and start my tucked harness!

also planning a tubular core support as soon as i can get some dom and get to my buddies house to use his tubing bender. it should make things a lot easier to mount like the radiator and intercooler and such without being so gawdy and will also open up the front end for running ic piping and hiding wires more easily!

i am tempted to use tax money on this build, but i would rather let it sit in te bank for just in case. it sucks getting old and being responsible...

should have more updates soon! ;)
