He doesn't because he doesn't have the required 250 posts. I have noticed others that should have them and don't for some reason.

I apologize that I can't be more help with the badges. I don't have any access to anything dealing with them. The only person who can make changes, or knows exactly how they work is Justin. So if it's not appearing for someone when it should, I don't know how to help. When Justin gets back, it can be addressed. The only thing I know is that the badges are tied to usergroups. When you get banned, you're put into a specific user group with specific permissions. When you get VIP status, you're put into a specific group with specific permissions.. When you're a mod, when you're a smod, etc...

So basically, badges are just a different setting that takes effect when you're placed into specific usergroups. In this case, when you reach the right amount of years/posts, you're placed in the VIP user group which gives you access to the VIP section and gives you a VIP badge. That's just a little insight into how the badge system works. Beyond that, I don't know much/any more about it.

I honestly like them. Though they can be a bit overwhelming when everyone in a thread has one, it's something new and different.

I also like the idea of having earned badges or one off badges. Otherwise it doesnt bother me bad or good.

I agree with leothelion. How about badges telling what kind of Civic someone has.

So if I own a 6th gen, there could be a "6th Gen" badge. Or if you guys are feeling REALLY special, you could do model badge, I.E. I have an EM1, so my badge would be "6th Gen - EM1."

This way other members can tell who else has the same chassis as they do. Just a lil thought really.

This is a bad idea because u can put what car u drive in ur user cp and display it under ur avatar if u would like.

Y do u need a tag telling what u drive? Seems senseless to me
