Once the phone is rooted the warranty is void anyhow. I know how to reset the phone to factory, but if it's bricked, trust me I will run it over like 5 times to ensure there's no proof it was rooted so I can do an insurance claim.

:p,i bricked the sidekick nd made a claim that it got stolen and got my g2x,then got the sidekick fixed nd sold it for 200 lol

Nice! I know w/ Verizon they track the phone so I can't really say it was stolen b/c of the GPS. I guess I could remove the battery so they can't remote, but I thought there was still a signal they could trace somehow? Dunno.

I should totally do that. My phone is still pricey hahaha

wel since it was bricked it would only go to the sidekick screen logo nd stop so i took out the batt,sim card,they tried to track it down but it dint work so she offered me the g2x i just had to pay 15 bucks shipping,so i guess i got lucky lol,btw is the thunderbolt fast? It's very fast, but I've gotten so pampered w/ the 4G LTE and processor on this thing that I want it faster. For example, I text so quickly that my phone can't keep up.

The battery life, or lack there of, is HORRIBLE too. I use my phone so much that I charge it 2-3 times a day. I've thought about the extender for it, but it's not worth the money. From what my friends say w/ the same rooted phone, they can get 1-2 days w/o charging with their root.

Samsung Infuse 4g, I HATE it compared to my iPhone 3Gs. I had the iPhone jailbroken, and of course I rooted the Infuse. Still stuck on Froyo because Samsung sucks balls. They released GINGERBREAD finally a couple weeks ago, and then pulled it because it doesn't work right and HDMI port becomes useless. I don't know much about roms though, so that I can look into.

... This Samsung freezes once a day, randomly reboots, and doesn't have Scramble with Friends yet like iOS does

OH, and to really root this Infuse, I had to go through all this bulls*** of replacing the SU binary and a bunch of other crap... lame

wel if you decide to root you can overclock making it a little bit faster,same here i use to charge my phone 3 or even 4 times but i txt all day lol...now with the root i can go from 6am to 6 pm with out charging

I know what all a root can do for a phone, I'm just lost on the gibberish. When my friends explain it I just go dumb. A friend is supposed to walk me through it but I'm a bit nervous.

woot my t989 (t-mo sgs2) finally got ICS on tuesday. first USDM carrier to get the sgs2 on ICS?

I rooted my Infuse 4G. Haven't really done much with it though, except for installing a terminal emulator so I can use nerdy Unix commands haha
