I got a new headunit today. After getting my new ballasts, the static got even worse with my FM transmitter so I said f**k it and decided to finally upgrade to a USB one. I haven't heard such crisp music in my car ever .
Before my new ballasts, it was actually okay. I could tolerate it. But with the new ballasts...man I couldn't really hear the music. And when I went to turn the volume up, the static went up exponentially. I love being able to control the iPod through USB. AND it charges it!!!! lol. Yeah...I'm a little behind the times with this stuff....yeah FM modulators are horrible
n00bwhat are you two talking about?
yea i just use the radio. need to fix my mom's a4 signal is shitty just wondering if it was a usb antenna. proly end up digging through the trunk now to see if i can find a kinked wiren00b
I don't know s*** about audio stuff either. The deck I just replaced is as old as my car lol. I got the cheapest one but it's still really nice to me .yea i just use the radio. need to fix my mom's a4 signal is s***ty just wondering if it was a usb antenna. proly end up digging through the trunk now to see if i can find a kinked wire
haha well that's the way EMFs work... and don't worry, i don't even have an aux in for my car... and my headunit has a tape deck in it (that i've never used). i still burn tunes to CD for the car. no cassette adaptor because of the lack of bass boost (sounds on cassette tapes are bass heavy, so most headunits reduce the lower frequencies when playing back cassette tapes)..Before my new ballasts, it was actually okay. I could tolerate it. But with the new ballasts...man I couldn't really hear the music. And when I went to turn the volume up, the static went up exponentially. awww what a cute lil puppehwhat is this.
what are you getting? most of the double-din touchscreen headunits i've looked at have really crappy interfaces.I'm ditching my factory 6cd changer for a 7" touch screen DVD cd radio double din.
