Radiator/cooling system flush

I'm replacing my OEM radiator because it already cracked for the second time (1st time I used the glue stick epoxy thing to fix it, it actually worked for like a year!!!) anyways, I figured that since I'm changing the radiator I might as well change everything (hoses and thermostat). Now to flush the entire thing its: remove the thermostat and bolt thermostat housing back up, un-clip the upper hose to rad, use water pressure (garden hose) on current rad to flush until only water comes out of block/upper hose, put new hoses and thermostat, refill with 50/50 antifreeze right? That will flush the entire system right?

Sounds about right, use distilled water so you less scale and crunk build up in the radiator. Did you get another OEM rad?

I could be wrong, but I heard somewhere that don't turn the garden hose on that hard because it could do some damage internally.. I don't know how accurate the information is.. And I have also had the same problem with the radiator in my 97 lx

I'd recommend distiled water as well over a garden hose to prevent deposits from building.

Yeah from autozone for $40 cuz I had a coupon plus the points I had on my card

What I do with "my" cars is drain ,refill with distilled water, run it for a bit with the heater on, drain again, then fill with anti freeze/ distilled water.

Yes. Distilled water. Drain. Fill up. Run car. Drain. Fill with coolant.

Make sure to get all of the water out if ur in a cold climate!
