we have to go up to YOU and hopefully say the right thing to make a good first impression
then we have to somehow keep you entertained long enough to get your number
then we have to estimate how long to wait until we call you
then we have to estimate how long to talk to you until we ask you out
then we have to come up with a good idea for a first date
then we have to pick you up
then we have to pay for dinner
then we have to keep up texting or calling you on a certain basis (not too much, not too little) to keep you interested
then we have to initiate the second date

...should i keep going?!

You date some lame ass girls. I go for who I want. I don't let him pay for me all the time, it's 50/50, we alternate driving, we alternate on events to keep it fair...want me to keep going??

I'm not saying I pay all the time but the first date its just a nice gesture for the guy to pay. my point is that pretty much up to the first date the entire responsibility is on the guy.

He paid for our first date, and 2nd. He prefers to pay and it bothers him a tiny bit that I do, but he likes the fact that I don't want to dump it all on the guy. He's a bit old fashioned with some things, but it's nice.

Paying is definitely flattering on the first date. But I still offer to. I don't mind.
But on the first date it can always be mutual. Depends on the person.

That's how I feel. I feel like the guy is the one who has to initiate everything. That's what I meant by girls having it easy. But I guess it can go either way...just depends on what type of person you meet.
