I got into the biggest argument with my bf last night about this. He too hates Rotas, but he made a valid point that shut me up instantly and I was NOT happy about it.


So we all know Rotas are junk, right? We all have heard the many many MANY stories of them cracking, shattering, bending, etc.

So he then says,
'all wheels have defects. i had a set of works that cracked, a friend had a set of mugens that did too. you hear more about rotas b/c they're a very low priced, mass produced wheel so of course you hear more negative feedback b/c everyone has them. you don't hear that much about higher brands b/c they're not in most people's budget.'

FMA I fell silent, got stubborn, and said they're still sh*tty.

It's also the fact that Rota's are cast versus Mugens/Volks/Works being forged.

No idea, I just was cleaning my wheels and I saw a spoke cracked all the way through. I became against fake wheels months ago and this only verified it.

i know a few companies make an anodized clear color. so u prime then like spray a chrome type finish then a clear candy color over that.

hope u got something to practice on or at least get a few tests on.

Just go for it. I did mine after reading a thread about it. Not hard at all. Of course my buddy dropped it off the table another time when I had it off and scraped it do I gotta redo it sometime haha
