New to site. No help on other forums

Hello My name is Kc I am new to this forum and Honda in general I tried this question on another forum and got nowhere so im trying again here you in advance. Let me start by saying I am not a mechanic. I bought a 1996 Honda civic LX a week ago. Everything was perfect when I bought it but now I have a problem. I live in Cali so smog is an issue. When i bought the car I bought it "as is". There was no CEL on when I bought it. I did check to make sure it wasnt "disabled" by turning the key to make sure it came on and It did.
I went to smog it today and when I got in it the CEL would not come on when I turned the key. Or the SRS also the speedo and the tach are dead. I feel this must be a fuse but Ive checked all of the fuses under the dash and none are dead. If this is something I could fix myself please help me I'm open to any and all suggestions I have tried to find the answer all over Google and other "Honda forums" and came up blank. Thanks again for your help!

i live in sacramento-ish area, out in rocklin if you need help please let me know, but like ron said check that fuse. welcome, and people will rip on you for being new, hang in there and know that they are douche bags.

Hola, yeah I agree with above but check the fuses under the hood also. One last thing, fuses can sometimes look OK but still be blown. How this helps and welcome to Honda Love.

Ron. You are a God!!!! Thank you so much!!! Fuse was blown on the side and didnt look blown at all!! You just saved me the one hour 90$ minimum I was going to pay at the shop tomorrow.
