black puff smoke and whistle sound

Hey guys,

I know its an old subject, I have found found several posts but with no solutions!

yesterday, as my freind was driving behind, he told me that a black spuff smoke is coming out of my muffler when shifting at high rpm and also when down shifting for example from 3rd to 2nd in a down hill.
I know that this is due to having the engine run rich... but i have no idea what is the solution for that !
FYI, i got a normal mpg, about 24

Also at high rpm 6K+ a whistle sound is heard which i dont really like.

Anyone got any idea concerning both issues!

black smoke is due to too rich of a fuel:air mix.

as for the whistle noise i do not know. it could be many things depending on where it's coming from.

the whistle noise is coming from the muffler.
