Hi well I have had my Civic for a few years went from 1.5 to ZC to a b16A and well now the B is gone and I have a prelude I have been Thinking of putting on the road currently has a salvage title and most suspension and mounts need replaced. Have already done half a wire tuck to the civic just have to run and hide the engine wires but I dont have a running engine other than the H23 in my prelude so I am stuck on where to go. I dont find that performance prelude parts to easy to find for what I am looking for in comparison to the civic. It's pretty bad because I still have new parts for the civic but it's stripped inside out for body work. So I have 2 projects but want one done for summer so I want the civic, so would it be worth putting in H23 from my prelude it works pretty good pretty sure it will pull away from most B series an will be a worth boosting in a year or to. So im stuck if i should part the prelude or build the civic. Any suggestions?

I have done all the work myself in swapping and wiring, bodywork so this isn't my first picnic just undecided what direction to go.

I'm biased because I really dislike that gen Prelude.
Part it out/sell as a whole and concentrate funds on and H swap the Civic.

So it would be worth putting the H in the civic considering I have to buy mounts anyway I still have alot of work ahead of me then haha. So a hasport mount kit be the best way of going? Most of what I have read have gone hasport.

So it would be worth putting the H in the civic.
I should have specified, sell the whole Prelude and find an h22.
Nowadays they're reasonably priced and nearly bolt into the 5th gen chassis.
The H23 and it's 160hp doesn't seem worth the work when you can just put another b16 or b18 in there, since you said you already had a b-series in there at one time.

True but theres more torque with the H im not to worried about vtec though. I can always get a vtec H23 head or bolt on a H22 head. The weight difference isnt much around 20lbs heavier than a B and well im pretty sure I have stripped that outta the civic. I dont care about the present hp its the end goal an H is better to boost either way 2.3 or 2.2 from the research I have done over the years.

I just cant make up my mind on which project to continue with but parting the lude and putting in the H seems more do able at the moment than looking for another B, just cause I dont want to deal with the salvage title

Well looks like you have your answer and made a decision.
Best of luck with it.
