I ordered 1157 red leds for my tail/break lights. The fit into the socket but only light up dim when the break is pressed. If I turn them around they won't lock into socket cause of the off set pins on the base of the bulb. But they light up dim with the lights on n go bright with the break pedal pressed.
I contacted the seller n we came to the agreement hell let me keep the bulbs n he refunded half the money. I agreed n figured I would just re wire my break lights. well this was last weekend. now that this weekend is upon us I'm planning on what to so I now what I need for materials. I was thinking of setting up a quick connect do its easy to swap the wires back just in case I need to use a regular bulb.
Now here's my problem that I didn't think of when I agreed with the deal with the seller. When there locked into the socket the correct way they only light up dim when the break pedal is pressed. There's no bright setting. So now re wiring my tail lights seen point less. Any ideas how I can make these work?
I already got 194 leds in the corners. I'm waiting for 1156 amber turn signal leds to come in n the 1156 red for the 3rd break light. This will make my rear lights all leds add I already got 194 cool white for my license plate.
Oh n yes I ordered an led flasher to fit when I get the 1156 Ambers in.
Now I want to order some leds for my front turn signals. I want the switch backs. (white park lights/amber blinker). I got regular 1157 amber bulbs in them now(none led) I don't remember if the pins r staggered like the rear break lights are. How many different style 1157 bulbs r there as far as the bayonet base goes? Is there a particular 1157 I should look for? Any body now where I can get said style? I can only find the staggered ones
