Holy crap. That's a beautiful engine.
Love the updates! Keep them coming.
thanks peeps
Thanks but I think most feature cars are a bit more elaborate than mine. "12.8:1 ls/vtec"'s ride is more of a feature ride imo. I want to get it repainted one day once I replace the front bumper with a genuine OEM piece. This paint looks nice, but its a single stage respray in a bunch of spots and it has some dull spots I tried to hide with heavy waxing. Itr strut bar, nah. I want to get a carbing 2 point front tower bar and run a miracle x setup in the rearin the end, easily a car that can be featured in a magazine. do you have and plans on repainting Child? and how do you feel about a ITR front strut bar, you like those?
nothing wrong with a nice powder coat. DPK David's coupe is a bug inspiration to my build so I went with the chromeAbsolutely amazing!! I was going with a white VC on the GSR untill I seen this.. Now im second guessing myself.. Do you mind me asking how much you payed to get it done?
you should be on the price is right lol, 275 is what I paid.im guessing 200-250 ball park since chrome falls around there also
boobies lolthat valve cover is t***
lol you werent the only one looking at prices for getting valve covers done in chrome. though i was a bit low, getting done in black chrome probably added a little bit to the priceyou should be on the price is right lol, 275 is what I paid.
i haven't sold anything and my full time job money doesn't go into cars or bs. If your friend can't afford it straight up he might need to reconsider it.it makes me laugh to watch both you and my friend doing k swaps, same everything. and watching you both spend so much money. he is selling all the stuff from his garages to buy stuff lol
i can say i put a good chunk toward the swap. i gave him a large amount of money for my swap lol
^^^^ AhahaYou're the bees knees Child!
oh he has the money, i mean he has an eg coupe, ek hatch, two integras, 3 eg hatches with one having a b16 setup and the other a built h22 and the other is getting the k swap, an rsx type s, and a pretty white s2000 and has multiple garages and a house of parts. he is where i get all my parts from lol so i know money isnt his issue, but might as well sell your extra stuff to pay for another project when you can.i haven't sold anything and my full time job money doesn't go into cars or bs. And you do realize a K swap can be cheap. I could have gotten a k24a1 [160hp 160tq] $500-$750, base model rsx/ep3 trans $500, dc swap header $300, ebay piping exhaust and have a flange welded, rsx ecu with imobilizer delete, use stock wiring harness and wire in the swap myself, $150 rsx shifter, used swap mounts $300, self weld radiator brackets and use stock radiator, $100 for hoses and sensors, autozone rsx axles and swap ends $100 and call it a day with a fat powerband or snatch some rsx-s cams and do a vtec killer setup and sit around 190-200whp with a mean torque curve.
I like how you have all that right on the top of your head lol. Anyways I can't wait to see this swap donei haven't sold anything and my full time job money doesn't go into cars or bs. If your friend can't afford it straight up he might need to reconsider it.

I have been debating on picking up a k24a1 or a4 and swaping it into the ep3 with a base rsx 5speed just to have a little more torque and taller gearing for better highway driving. Then picking up a ef shell and swapping my k20a3 and 5speed into it. But the everyone talks about how expensive it can get with the wiering harness and mounts has had me second guessing it.. and then I read this and I am right back to debating it haha.i haven't sold anything and my full time job money doesn't go into cars or bs. Well with me, I have a 2.5" test pipe along with the apexi ws2 catback....together there is a noticeable difference between 2000 rpm - 5000 rpm (at which point you can tell that the y7 manifold is choking it up) Nothing huge, but definitely not so weak that you wonder if its even there.Hey did you notice any increase in power with the D series header? i know its been asked but I couldnt find a response.
Im really curious haha. Stock air box, stock Y7, stock exhaust and a bad ass header.
Ahhh I see. Yeah I totally got you wrong at first. With these swaps people tend to go all out because when you don't, you end up comparing it to much cheaper solutions and questioning why you didn't go another route for power. I decided to get a little fancy with my swap so that when i'm done it would take a fully built motor from a d/b/h/f to make what I make internally stock and then if I simply add cams I'll already be out of their league period n/aoh he has the money, i mean he has an eg coupe, ek hatch, two integras, 3 eg hatches with one having a b16 setup and the other a built h22 and the other is getting the k swap, an rsx type s, and a pretty white s2000 and has multiple garages and a house of parts. he is where i get all my parts from lol so i know money isnt his issue, but might as well sell your extra stuff to pay for another project when you can.
He is like you and doesnt cheap out anywhere and everything has to be perfect. He has kpro, k tuned header, he got his engine from hmotors i believe, and basically he is doing the same build as you but building it. when i was talking to him today he said he could have bought another s2k by the time he is done, but he wants to be pushing 300 all motor whp while building another engine on the side
maybe how i worded it came out like he could barely afford it, he just is very picky and only likes the best stuff. he is the one who got me into Hondas and always told me do it right the first time, and now im going back and listening. he laughs at me saying i told you so
I considered doing it the cheap way originally so its kinda fresh in my mind.I like how you have all that right on the top of your head lol. Anyways I can't wait to see this swap done
The k24a1 would be bad to install into the ep3, but that ef chassis could turn into a money pit. I'd get the 24 dropped in and pick up a used tsx head from 04-05 (more people sell those since the k20a2 head flows better) then you have a low compression tsx motor.I have been debating on picking up a k24a1 or a4 and swaping it into the ep3 with a base rsx 5speed just to have a little more torque and taller gearing for better highway driving. Are you taking about the k24a4 or a1? Why do you say the a1 would be bad for the ep3? Sorry still learning.I'd get the 24 dropped in and pick up a used tsx head from 04-05 (more people sell those since the k20a2 head flows better) then you have a low compression tsx motor.
