I need advice. I just picked up some component speakers and I would like to mount them flush to the door panel, but I am nervous in doing so. 90% of my door panel is vinyl (99 Civic LX btw). I am leaning towards using a hole saw since that gives the best cut, but I am afraid in destroying the vinyl on my door panel. Any input from people who have done this type of install on these type of door panels and how they went about not damaging the vinyl. Thanks in advance!

I don't think that the hole saw will tear up the vinyl. Just try it first with a smaller size to make sure it's all good and then cut around that hole with the correct size. If the smaller size doesn't go well you can just measure out the larger hole and do it with a fresh xacto blade.
