Your car was originally OBD1 and almost surely still is. Remove the passenger kick panel to expose the ECU, which should have a label on one of its sides. You may need to remove the ECU. Post pictures of it.

How do I tell what obd my car is? It's a swapped b16 in a 93 eg hatch!
No label on the ecu, is there a conversion harness on it, how many o2 sensors do you have, what dist is on the engine, what is the block stamped. You probably have an odb1 jdm b16..
