98 Civic Power Windows and Locks Conversion

Hey guys,

I started my power windows and locks conversion yesterday on my 98 Civic hatchback.

I sourced parts for my swap from a 98 Civic EX Coupe.

I was able to get both power window components for the doors in. I finished putting in the EX floor harness and fuse box with all the proper fuses (I hope).

I was using this site as a reference guide: http://repo.jackmoves.com/v/erik/album106/album206/

I am now running into a problem where I can't get the windows to roll up. I don't know if I missed a step or something. Hopefully you guys can help. After I hooked up all the wires to the interior fuse box I was able to start the car and drive it but the windows won't move up and I can't install the power locks cause the window is in the way.

Hopefully you guys can help me trouble shoot. If you guys need any pictures from me LMK and I could get them to help for reference.

Do the windows go down? Or do they not work at all?

Step by step multimeter troubleshooting is what's needed.

Is 20A dash fuse 10 or 11 or 7.5A dash fuse 24 blown?

Do all three installed fuses have battery voltage to body ground when the key is in ON(II)? Click the fuses link in my signature.

Provide answers to these questions and then go from there.

I checked them. Nothing is blown. Everything is working.

Still not rolling up.

I also checked all the plugs under the dash that is connected to the fuse box. It seems like I missed one.. Anyone know where this goes? I can't seem to find where it goes..

This doesn't need to be plugged in unless I have power mirrors correct?

I have not. I need to buy the thing to test it.

I actually got it working. I had the grounding in the wrong place. Just needed better grounding. Works fine now. Thanks for the help!
