The wife and i will be replacing our 2000 civic lx with a newer 4runner next tax season!
Have been looking and test driving a few and i really like the styling and features!

me and mymmeryloss agree lol. the 4 cylinder 4 runner my parents have has a decent amount of power and is fairly roomy
and from what ive thread they have one of the strongest factory made axles.......
and with 160k miles the manual transmission still shifts great, and in great mechanical shape
i never said get a sports car. i only meant that the fit/xb weren't sporty. i dont think your wife would actually want u to look like a man with painted fingernails. unless she's got a freaky fetish...

that's my argument against a 4runner. even the 2010, which is probably out of your budget range has less head and leg room than a fit. it is a bit wider though. the older models though will be smaller. i didnt try that hard to find specs on the interior dimensions. so someone else can help fill the rest in.
i guess when it comes down to its gonna be do i want good gas mileage or not when i chose yes i would love it but there is just not enough vehicles that will give me the room i need and decent mpg bunch of bs lol
well as much as i want a 4runner i think im gonna go back to jeeps you cant beat them for the money and reliability

ive never had issues with one. just wanted to try something different but i know jeeps like i know hondas so i guess that is my next best bet.
